A Message from the President
As the President of NCNW's Greater Trinity Section, it is both my duty and privilege to address the importance of supporting black women's health through the Good Health WINs initiative. Today, I work alongside community leaders highlighting the crucial steps we are taking to ensure equitable access to quality healthcare and promoting the well-being of black women in our society.
Good Health WINs is founded on the principle that everyone, regardless of their background, should have the opportunity to lead a healthy and fulfilling life. However, we recognize that historically, certain communities, including black women, have faced significant health disparities, leaving them vulnerable to various challenges and injustices within the healthcare system.
Addressing these disparities and ensuring health equity for black women is an urgent priority. For 85 years, the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) has been committed to empower, inform and uplift women and children in communities of color. Through Good Health WINs, we aim to dismantle the barriers that impede access to healthcare, eliminate disparities in health outcomes, and empower black women to take control of their own well-being.
To achieve these goals, we will work diligently to support scholarships, mentorship programs, and educational initiatives. Good Health WINs initiative is founded on the belief that no woman should face systemic barriers to her health and well-being. We are committed to achieving health equity for black women and fostering a society where good health truly wins.
Thank you, and may good health always prevail.
Sincerely,
Brenda Land, NCNW Greater Trinity Section President

The Good Health Women’s Immunization Networks (Good Health WINs) is committed to spreading transparent information about health needs and innovations. Good Health WINS begins with education. Advocates understand the importance of immunizations and are working to create an infrastructure for good health. This is achieved by reducing health disparities, increasing vaccination opportunities, vaccination education and identifying the drivers of vaccine hesitancy.
